Party games to play on a TV with your phones

The easiest party game setup is one screen everyone can see and one phone per person. Nobody has to bring controllers, and guests can join in seconds. Our Console has eight games built for this, for up to eight players.

Games that work best with a group

  • Most Likely To: everyone votes in secret for the player who best fits a prompt. You score by voting with the majority. 3 to 8 players.
  • Hot Bomb: throw a bomb with a hidden timer to another player. Whoever holds it when it goes off is out. 3 to 8 players.
  • Trivia: five general-knowledge questions, answered in secret. Faster correct answers score more.
  • Snake Arena: up to eight snakes on one board. The last one alive wins.
  • Turbo Circuit and Goal Rush: 3D racing and football for people who want to compete.

Tournament mode for a whole evening

Press Play and Our Console picks five random games. Points from every round add up, a scoreboard is shown after each game, and the final podium shows the champion. Players level on points share the place.

The first player to join runs the room from their phone. They can hand that role to someone else at any time.

Setting it up in a minute

  • Open play.codewithshamil.com on the TV or on a laptop connected to it, and press Host a game.
  • Ask everyone to connect to the same WiFi and scan the QR code.
  • Each person types a name. The first to join presses Play.

Tips for hosting

  • Use a laptop plugged into the TV if the TV browser is slow.
  • Start with a quiz or Most Likely To: the rules take ten seconds to explain.
  • A player whose phone disconnects is out of that game and can join the next one, so nobody holds up the room.
